Department of Genetics

The Department of Genetics was founded in 1965. During the early years research mainly focused on cytogenetics and genetic epidemiology. Currently, the focus is on the latest topics in research, such as the molecular genetics and epigenetic studies of schizophrenia, autism, ADHD and affective disorder. The research unit has published more than 150 articles in international and domestic scientific journals.

The current staff includes one associate professor, two research assistants, four junior technicians, and a tutor. As a teaching institution, we also provide the training for graduate students from the Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine, Fudan University Medical College, and Tongji University School of Medicine.
